Zeenat Ahmed-Peto, a remarkable hypnotherapist from Enfield, has been recognised as one of the UK’s top entrepreneurs. Her business, Zeenat Ahmed-Peto Cognitive Hypnotherapy, established in 2013 and nestled in Lavender Hill, has earned her a place among 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs nationwide. This accolade is part of the f:Entrepreneur ‘#iAlso100’ campaign, which highlights trailblazing female founders who lead purpose-driven businesses while juggling other responsibilities like volunteering and community support.
Zeenat transitioned from a long career as a primary teacher to founding her business, driven by a passion for cognitive hypnotherapy. Her dedication extends beyond her practice; she champions accessibility to information, education, and economic advancement. Zeenat’s initiatives include a monthly networking group for women, an online book club, therapy work with children and families, and supporting sensitive men in discussing mental health, challenging stereotypes around toxic masculinity.
Upon being featured in the #iAlso100 line-up, Zeenat expressed her excitement and honour. She emphasised the barriers women face when starting businesses and her commitment to highlighting and celebrating female talent. The f:Entrepreneur campaign, launched by Small Business Britain in 2017, aims to raise awareness of the significant impact female business owners have across the UK, providing inspiration and role models for the wider small business community.
Michelle Ovens CBE, founder of Small Business Britain, praised Zeenat’s inclusion in the #iAlso100, recognising the phenomenal contributions of female entrepreneurs. She stressed the importance of supporting and encouraging female business owners throughout their entrepreneurial journey, acknowledging their substantial economic and societal contributions.
