Enfield Celebrates Outstanding Volunteer Achievements

Enfield Council recently honoured the incredible dedication of 34 local volunteers at the Enfield Lifetime Achievement and Special Recognition Volunteer Awards. This prestigious event, held on 21 March at the Enfield Civic Centre, celebrated those who have gone the extra mile in their volunteering roles, showcasing their remarkable contributions to the community.

The awards, launched in December 2021, aim to highlight the selfless efforts of individuals who have made a significant impact in Enfield. The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges long-term commitment to volunteering, while the Special Recognition Award celebrates exceptional service, particularly over the past year.

Cllr Gina Needs, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Cohesion, expressed her gratitude, stating, “The award winners this year have some wonderful stories to tell, about how they have made and continue to make a huge difference to people’s lives.” She encouraged residents to explore volunteering opportunities to further enrich the community.

The winners were selected from nominations submitted by residents, voluntary organisations, and community groups, reflecting the collective appreciation for these unsung heroes. The ceremony not only recognised their outstanding efforts but also inspired others to contribute to the borough’s well-being.

Volunteering in Enfield offers numerous opportunities for residents to make a tangible difference. Enfield Voluntary Action, in collaboration with the council, provides resources and support to empower individuals and community groups, fostering a spirit of giving and community cohesion.

At Peter Cuffaro Estate Agents, we understand the value of community and the importance of giving back. We commend these volunteers for their dedication and encourage everyone to explore ways to contribute to making Enfield a better place to live. Whether through volunteering or community involvement, every effort counts in building a thriving and supportive environment for all.
